The Local World Cup of Montpellier is an event that aims to bring together soccer fans from around the world, while supporting social and environmental initiatives.
The Local World Cup in Montpellier is an amateur sports competition that allows people from all over the world to have a good time on the soccer field, to meet, to dialogue and to take action for social and environmental initiatives. Players and spectators of the event will also be able to take part in education and awareness workshops, as well as cultural events proposed by all the partner associations.
- A 2-day soccer tournament with players from all over the world.
- 16 associations of newcomers each launch a team of 12 people.
- Each team representing a country is composed of 50% French, and at least 3 women (2 of whom must be on the field at all times).
- Each edition supports a social or environmental project in Montpellier.
